In the spring of 2021, Jackie Skrzynski was the Artist in Residence at Black Rock Forest (BRF). Advancing scientific understanding of the natural world, BRF is a nearly 4000 acre living laboratory for field-based research and education. The resulting drawings and paintings made during the residency depict local invasive species that threaten biodiversity and others that promote forest health. Jackie also led monthly immersive art experiences, The Silent Walks on the Full Moon, described here.
